Electrabel launches 1st Smart Energy Box together with fifthplay and Niko Group

Electrabel, GDF SUEZ Group, is to launch the Smart Energy Box in Belgium on March 1, 2012, in conjunction with Niko Group using technology from subsidiary Fifthplay. Customers can use this Smart Energy Box to save energy by measuring and controlling the consumption of their domestic appliances.

InCityS goes international

The InCityS pilot project in Sint-Niklaas can expect a great deal of interest from cities and towns in this country and abroad. Fifthplay has recently signed an agreement with the city of Helmond in the Netherlands.

Over a period of 3 years, 750 families in Helmond will be equipped with fifthplay technology. Helmond, together with Eindhoven and Veldhoven, form the Brainport Eindhoven Region.
