Embedded Software developer / Software engineer
Jobdescription
Work on all phases of software development for embedded controller based products. We are seeking individuals experienced in embedded C, RTOS, shell scripting, SQL, IP networking and home-automation protocol. Linux knowledge is a must. You develop and design embedded software for home automation ICT-enabled products. Work includes customer-driven applications, communication protocols, drivers and basic user interfaces. You take active part in requirements definition, product design, coding, and testing efforts.
Profile
• Bachelor / Master Informatics - Computer Sciences or equal by experience
• Expertise in "C", data structures, and programming concepts.
• In-depth Linux experience
• A minimum of 1 year in customer-oriented application development or a very strong academic background.
• Experience with device drivers, real-time operating systems (RTOS), micro-controllers, wireless communications, digital and analog I/O equipment preferred.
• Good written, oral and interpersonal skills
• Able to take direction from engineering manager during software design and development phases
• Works independently with minimal supervision
• Flexible attitude

Microsoft .Net Software Engineer

We are looking for a Microsoft .Net Software Engineer who will perform basic analysis, define functionality and create .Net applications. This candidate will develop system design and programming specifications / requirements on assigned projects using a structured software methodology, and then translating the requirements into a C# program. The developer will also be required to perform coding, testing, debugging and writing basic documentation. It is expected this candidate will deliver projects within the provided timeframes and communicate effectively both in written and verbal form.
Profile
• Bachelor / Master Informatics - Computer Sciences or equal by experience
• Experience with object-oriented design and programming concepts
• Currently experienced with Microsoft .Net development using C#
• Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA)
• Experience with XML and derivative data structures
• Minimum one to three years plus experience developing client/server and/or web based applications
• Minimum one to three years experience with C#
• Good written, oral and interpersonal skills
• Able to take direction from engineering manager during software design and development phases
• Works independently with minimal supervision

We are looking for a System & Network Support engineer. This candidate will be working in the support department of fifthplay which is responsible for the availability, performance and high level support & operations for the equipment and systems installed in our central datacenter and at customer location. In his role he will closely work with customers and technology providers. In case of urgent problems he must be willing to make on-site interventions within the Benelux region.
Provide PC and Device infrastructure and provide remote IT support. - Fulfill the needs of the business and maintain professional relationships with customers and colleagues. - Work independently and in a timely and professional manner. - Problem solving and collaboration with other specialists.
Profile
• Min. 5 years experience in complex ICT network/system support
• General IT security principles
• TCP/IP : general knowledge, switching, routing, firewalling
• Microsoft Windows 2003 administration
• Fluent in Dutch/English/French
• Able to work independently, contact users, take on responsibilities, self-motivator and maintain integrity.
• Knowledge of Fortinet is a big plus
• Knowledge of CA service desk a plus
• Knowledge of x86 platforms is a plus
